Sangpot - Vase Shape with Chain

This copper and brass Tibetan style pot is used for offering incense. Incense purifies space and is used at home for inviting guests, making a pleasant atmosphere and creating sacred spaces. The sangpot is often used in Tibetan puja and practices. The charcoal for burning can be placed directly in this pot and the powder or stick incense that is offered is then placed on top to burn. The chain allows you to hold and swing the pot so that the scented aroma can be offered throughout space.
